The Engineering department maintains broadcast systems for Rogers Media Vancouver. As Broadcast Technician,your role will include:

What you will do...

• Perform all aspects of hardware and software maintenance, repair and installation of audio/video (digital/analog), automation and transmission equipment found in a TV Broadcast plant.
• Provide support for live TV broadcasts
• Participate in studio, control room, and transmitter projects in conjunction with the Engineering Team.
• Maintain engineering dept. records and drawings.
• Maintain stock for engineering parts and supplies.
• Liaise with other departments on technical matters.
• Shift work as required.

What you will bring...

• Graduate of recognized Broadcast Systems Technician or Technologist program.
• Ability to work with minimal support as part of a collaborative team in a fast paced environment.
• Self-motivated
• Detail oriented
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge and experience with Broadcast TV transmission systems.
• Knowledge and experience with computer hardware, software and Local Area Networks.
• The successful candidate will hold a valid BC driver\'s license.
