Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for researching, collecting and writing news;
  • Record interviews for radio news broadcasts;
  • Responsible for writing and publishing news on digital platforms;
  • Take photos and / or video for digital platforms;
  • Ensure the quality of the information transmitted;
  • Write and communicate information in an objective manner;
  • Prepare and read newscasts on air;
  • Prepare, review and publish on the news, reports and interviews on digital platforms;
  • Participate in various programs produced by the station;
  • Establish a large network of contacts;
  • Work in close collaboration with other program stakeholders;
  • Exercise leadership with other journalists in the network;
  • Perform any other related task.

Requirements:
  • College or university degree in journalism;
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in digital journalism;
  • Impeccable written and spoken French;
  • Adequate proficiency in English, both written and spoken;
  • Extensive general culture;
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of local, national, international and sports news;
  • Proven understanding of interview techniques;
  • Excellent diction and elocution;
  • Capacity to synthesize information accurately;
  • Autonomy, judgment and rigor required;
  • Efficient use in Word and Outlook softwares;
  • Have a large base of contacts;
  • Possess leadership qualities;
  • Knowledge of the Mauricie\Centre-du-Québec region;
  • Knowledge of Burli software an asset.
