The Role

We are currently seeking a Bridle & Maintenance Technician for a full time, permanent role at the A. Harvey Marine Base Container Depot located on Sugarloaf Rd.

In this role, you will ensure the smooth flow of shop operations and maintain the readiness and safety of bridles and rigging used across our current operations.

The role of Bridle & Maintenance Technician will have many responsibilities, which include but are not limited to the following:

Inspect and ensure all bridles and rigging meet required safety and operational standards and are ready to use Separate, repair, and inspect bridles and rigging, ensuring accurate tracking and inventory updates Perform general shop clean-up and maintenance Maintain an up-to-date stock list on a daily basis Install and remove CCU bridles as required Complete and submit required paperwork to Container Operations. Operate a forklift safely and efficiently Follow and stay current on Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs) Perform other duties as assigned

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will have the following Qualifications and Skills:

Experience and/or knowledge of tanks/bridles/wire rope/lifting equipment, etc. Valid Forklift license, First Aid, WHIMS and Dangerous Goods Certifications Strong attention to detail and safety Self-confident individual with strong organizational and multitasking skills that can prioritize and manage tasks and deadlines in an efficient manner. Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. Ability to understand and work with diverse groups of people and clients. Team-oriented with a strong sense of dependability and responsibility Comfortable working in an environment with heavy machinery and varying weather conditions

Pay: $41,500.00-$45,500.00 per year
