Lin International Canada, Inc. is seeking a Bridge Engineer who is highly dependable and with a strong work ethic who will be working in Vancouver, British Columbia, producing designs and structural details for bridge projects in accordance with Design Standards and Codes.Responsibilities & QualificationsDuties and Responsibilities:Perform engineering calculations, analysis and design of concrete and steel bridge structures and elements under the supervision of Senior Bridge Engineers.Prepare plans, specifications and estimates in accordance with applicable design codes under the supervision of Senior Bridge Engineers.Conduct independent quality control and quality assurance reviews under the supervision of Senior Bridge Engineers.Perform quantity take-offs for development of engineering estimates.Prepare drawings, calculations and designs in accordance with company production and design standards, and follow Quality Assurance and Control procedures.Other assignments as needed.Qualifications:Master's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.Professional Engineering license in the Province of British Columbia.4+ years of professional experience.Experience with structural analysis and design of steel and concrete bridges and elements.Experience in preparing engineering calculations, structural drawings, details and ability to prepare specifications.Strong technical skills in structural analysis including seismic analysis, and design of various types of bridge structures. Experience with long-span bridges is an asset.Ability to work as part of a team to provide deliverables and meet deadlines.Working knowledge of design codes such as CAN/CSA S6, AASHTO, ACI, CISC, etc.Ability to provide quality control/quality assurance to ensure deliverables are of high quality and on time.Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel and engineering analysis and design software.Knowledge of SOFiSTiK is an asset.Knowledge of AutoCAD and/or MicroStation is an asset.Ability to clearly communicate verbally and in writing.Must possess communication and interpersonal skills necessary for effective project team collaboration and relationship building.Excellent organizational skills.Additional InformationT.Y.Lin International Canada Inc. is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $82,400.00- $123,600.00 annually for this position and local market.
