If you are a talented and experienced Bridge Project Engineer, Aplin has partnered with our client, a collaborative and innovative bridge engineering and construction company, based in Manitoba.

As a bridge engineer, you are tasked with managing construction projects and providing technical services. This is the perfect job for you if you strive to merge technical engineering and practical construction services.

Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities may include the following:

• Supporting all aspects of construction work including:

• developing proposals for various contract models;
• preparing estimates for quoted and tendered work;
• managing schedules, materials, and subcontractors;
• aiding in job cost tracking;
• preparing and submitting environmental management plans;
• supporting safety coordinator in completing daily and project-specific safety requirements;
• Reporting on project progress, offering viable solutions and opportunities as they arise
• Providing technical services, including bridge/structure inspections, maintenance plans, load ratings, as well as other design services
• Writing technical reports
• Communicating customer issues and devising ways for improving the customer experience, including resolving problems and complaints

Qualifications:

• Civil tech diploma or Civil engineering degree
• Five+ plus years of project management and bridge/transportation engineering experience in consulting and/or General contracting is required
• Some bridge experience is required
• Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
• Exceptional planning and scheduling skills
• Effectively communicate with trade contractors, citizens, and technical/design team
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, and commitment to well-constructed projects
• Class 5 license
