Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Brick Mason to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience in masonry work, including building and restoring structures using bricks, stone, and concrete blocks. This role involves working on various projects such as new construction, renovation, and restoration of existing structures. The Brick Mason will be responsible for ensuring that all work meets safety standards and project specifications, contributing to the durability and aesthetic appeal of our projects.

Duties

Construct, install, and repair brick, stone, concrete blocks, and other masonry materials according to blueprints and schematics Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to ensure accurate project execution Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently to complete masonry tasks Mix mortar and other materials to appropriate specifications for bonding masonry units Perform restoration work on existing structures, including cleaning, repairing cracks, and replacing damaged masonry elements Assist with renovation projects by removing old materials and preparing surfaces for new installations Apply caulking and sealing techniques to ensure waterproofing and insulation of structures Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents on the job site

Skills

Proficiency with hand tools such as trowels, chisels, levels, and hammers Experience with construction sites involving masonry work Knowledge of masonry techniques including laying bricks, stones, or blocks in various patterns Ability to operate power tools safely and effectively Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately for precise construction work Experience with renovation and restoration projects is a plus Skilled in caulking for waterproofing purposes Familiarity with schematics related to structural layouts Ability to operate heavy equipment as needed for large-scale projects Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: $25.00-$40.00 per hour
