Overview

We are seeking a skilled Bricklayer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in masonry and construction. The Bricklayer will be responsible for laying bricks, blocks, and other types of masonry materials according to blueprints and specifications. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and a commitment to quality craftsmanship.

Responsibilities

Prepare and lay bricks, blocks, stone, and other masonry materials in accordance with project specifications and blueprints. Face, size, cut and lay stones. Place steel reinforcing and grout in cavities or cores to build external walls Lay conventional or tongue and groove blocks without mortar to build walls or foundation walls Waterproof masonry Install pre-cast hollow core floor slabs Remove and replace existing masonry work for alterations or restorations Assemble, erect and dismantle scaffolding, rigging and hoisting equipment. Perform restorations on existing structures while ensuring structural integrity. Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively in all aspects of masonry work. Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.

Skills

Proficient in the use of hand tools such as trowels, chisels, and levels. Strong knowledge of construction techniques and masonry practices. Experience with power tools including saws, drills, and mixers relevant to masonry work. Skilled in caulking methods for sealing gaps in masonry structures. Need to be comfortable working at heights on scaffolding or swing stage. Need own tools and steel toed boots. Need own transportation. Attention to detail with a focus on quality craftsmanship in all projects undertaken. Pay: $32.00-$38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 55 per week
