Education: No degree, certificate or diploma Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years

Tasks

Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages Resolve work problems, provide technical advice and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality Prepare and lay bricks, concrete blocks, structural tiles or other masonry units Prepare and maintain progress and other reports Order supplies and maintain inventory Lay bricks, stone or similar materials to provide veneer facing Establish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with other work units Train staff/workers in job duties, safety procedures and company policies Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule (and possibly review) activities of workers Ensure construction plans meet guidelines and specifications of building codes and other regulations Lay bricks or other masonry units to build residential or commercial chimneys and fireplaces Lay radial bricks to build masonry shells of industrial chimneys
