Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Brick Mason to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience in masonry work, including building and restoring structures with bricks, stone, and concrete blocks. This role involves working on various construction projects, renovation, and restoration tasks, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards. The Brick Mason will play a vital role in creating durable and aesthetically pleasing structures while utilizing a variety of tools and techniques.

Duties

Construct, repair, and restore walls, facades, walkways, and other structures using bricks, stone, concrete blocks, and similar materials Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to ensure accurate project execution Operate hand tools such as trowels, hammers, chisels, and caulking guns to perform masonry tasks Utilize power tools including mixers, grinders, and drills safely and efficiently Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying mortar or other bonding agents Assist with heavy equipment operation when necessary for lifting or moving large materials Perform renovation work on existing structures to improve stability or appearance Follow safety protocols to prevent accidents on-site during all phases of construction or restoration projects

Skills

Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in masonry and construction work Strong knowledge of masonry techniques including bricklaying, stone setting, and concrete work Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately Experience with renovation and restoration projects involving historical or damaged structures Familiarity with caulking techniques for sealing joints and gaps effectively Ability to operate heavy equipment safely when required for lifting or moving materials Knowledge of schematics related to structural systems is a plus Good physical stamina for working outdoors in various weather conditions Strong attention to detail with a focus on craftsmanship and safety standards
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 50 per week
