The Breakfast Cook is responsible for preparing ingredients, assisting in food preparation, and cooking breakfast menu items according to restaurant standards. This role requires attention to detail, time management, and adherence to food safety practices to ensure high-quality meals are delivered efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, slicing, and measuring according to recipes and instructions.
Assist in cooking breakfast items such as eggs, pancakes, bacon, sausages, and other menu offerings.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen prep area.
Follow proper food handling, storage, and sanitation guidelines.
Stock and replenish ingredients and supplies as needed.
Assist with receiving and storing deliveries.
Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient meal preparation.
Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment and workstations regularly.
Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.
Qualifications:
Prior experience in a kitchen environment preferred but not required.
Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
Good time management and organization accurately.
Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Food Safe Certification or willingness to obtain is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Capability to lift up to 40 lbs.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced and sometimes hot kitchen environment.
