Job Description


SaskEnergy is seeking a qualified and motivated individual to join our team. The Brand and Community Officer designs, develops, implements, maintains and assesses internal and external marketing and communications initiatives and community engagement programs. This position is responsible for developing advertising campaigns, communication plans and strategies, providing consultation services to internal groups, and coordinating province-wide promotional initiatives. This position promotes the organization\xe2\x80\x99s brand and provides solutions to positively influence public perception.Position DetailsUnion. This position is permanent full time.Core ResponsibilitiesCommunications and AdvertisingPrepare written and visual content, including website copy, speeches, speaking notes, social media content, advertising copy, planning documents, marketing material, media kits, briefing documents, articles and promotional copy, ensuring messaging and tactics align with SaskEnergy\xe2\x80\x99s voice and visual identity guidelines.Source promotional items for both internal and external stakeholders, recommend items and verify compliance with corporate branding guidelines.Provide expertise to departments in the development, implementation and evaluation of communications and marketing plans and strategies.Collaborate in the development of advertising and media placement across traditional, non-traditional, and digital channels.Assemble and participate in cross-functional teams to identify communication needs and define key messages, target audience segments, applicable channels, tactics, and types of collateral.Act as a liaison between Strategic Communications and designated business partners to implement plans that align with business goals.Collaborate with SaskEnergy\xe2\x80\x99s advertising agency of record during development, production, distribution, media planning, and evaluation to produce campaigns that achieve business objectives.Meet established departmental service standards for quality, timelines, budget and satisfaction.Develop measurable objectives for community, brand and marketing activities.Continually identify new and creative opportunities for brand awareness and public visibility.Community InitiativesExecute sponsorship contracts with non-profit organizations, ensuring adequate benefits are received and contract commitments are met.Coordinate, plan and execute assigned sponsorship events and community initiatives, with a focus on relationship building aimed at developing a positive public perception of the corporation.Deliver or coordinate the delivery of speeches, awards, and presentations related to sponsorship activation.Identify and develop new and creative ways to activate sponsorships for the organization.Oversee sponsorship programs for the organization.Collaborate and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders including charitable and community organizations, government affiliates and service vendors.Digital Systems Operation and MaintenanceAdminister community investment program activities, including sponsorship intake, monitoring, information management, reporting, process improvement, system updates, point-of-contact with vendor and system maintenance.Coordinate day-to-day updates and improvements to corporate website and applicable microsites, including scheduling content updates, continuity of themes, design elements, and user experience-based navigation.Monitor search engine optimization (SEO), quality assurance, and overall digital performance using corporate tools and remediate based on results.Work with internal business teams and developer on system upgrade requirements, fixes, integrations, testing, code enhancements, and maintenance.Use analytical software tools in the collection and use of data for marketing and communication plans and initiatives.Develop content for new digital platforms, as well as the public awareness messaging to increase use of the services.Project and Event AdministrationDevelop and monitor budgets, related expenses and invoices within area of responsibility.Create project schedules, coordinate multi-stakeholder meetings, and monitor critical path deadlines.QualificationsBachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or Public Relations.Three (3) years of experience in the field of Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or Public Relations.Valid Class 5 driver\xe2\x80\x99s license.Pre-Qualifying Assessment.Skills & AbilitiesAbility to adapt to change.Ability to use sound judgment in day-to-day activities.Ability to work independently as well as within a team.Ability to provide guidance and on-the-job training.Strong analytical skills.Relationship management skills.Interpersonal skills.Organizational skills.Strong verbal communication skillsStrong written communication skills.Additional InformationThis job occasionally requires extended work hours.Travel, including overnight stays away from bid headquarters is required on occasion.Application InstructionsPlease apply online with your cover letter and resume outlining your qualifications.For more information on this position, please contact Human Resources at 306-777-9091.Closing DateJune 11, 2024Hourly Rate Range$45.85 ($7,437.79) - $46.90 ($7,608.12)#LI-POST
