Branch Manager Cavendish Agri Services supports farmers in growing healthy and productive crops. We have 8 manufacturing/retail locations throughout Atlantic Canada. Our primary products include fertilizers, crop protectants and technical expertise. The Branch Manager will be responsible for executing the organization\xe2\x80\x99s strategy for Western Prince Edward Island, specifically leading the overall day-to-day management of the operations. A proven combination of business leadership, agriculture experience and excellent communication skills will ensure success in this role. This position requires an ability meet deadlines while working in a fast paced work environment. Qualifications:

• Post-secondary education in business, agriculture or an acceptable combination of education and experience
• Experience in the agriculture industry is required, local experience is an asset
• 5 years of management experience is preferred
• Proven communication, problem solving and decision-making skills
• Ability to motivate, develop and engage your team
• Ability to build good working relationships with customers, sales experience is an asset
• Experience in creating, communicating and executing a business plan
• A PAg or Certified Crop Advisor designation is an asset
• Ability to work variable hours due to seasonal nature of the business

Key Responsibilities:

• Accountable for ensuring site safety, health safety and environment and always maintaining Irving Standards.
• Lead and engage the team at the branches every day, accountable for employee experience including hiring of new employees, onboarding, training and development and retention
• Accountable for quality customer service on products and services and providing agronomy recommendations \xe2\x80\x93 grower fertility recommendations, crop input recommendations, formulate NMP\xe2\x80\x99s, field mapping including VRA field maps and pricing
• Oversee inventory control and forecasting \xe2\x80\x93 work with sales agronomist for grower needs for fertilizer, chemicals, seed and plastics.
• Oversee account management process including credit limits, prepays, account receivables.
• Partner with finance department and leadership team to determine pricing strategy and budget
• Accountable for branch profit and loss
• Organize grower meetings and educational events for vendors
