About the Position

As the Branch Helper, you play an integral role in performing duties that assist all department in the branch.

This temporary summer position would be suitable for a student who is interested in pursuing a career as a Partsperson or Heavy Equipment Mechanic.

More specifically, your position will consist of:

• Organizing and maintaining cleanliness of the yard
• Maintaining safety in the shop and warehouse by ensuring cleanliness and organization
• Work safely and follow company health and safety regulations
• Assisting with minor repairs if required
• Washing equipment
• Picking up/delivering parts
• This position requires physical work, including heavy lifting of up to 50 pounds, pushing, pulling, standing, bending, crouching and carrying. Work may take place in dusty or dirty environments, and work may be outside in the weather.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
• Understanding and experience with heavy equipment an asset
• Self discipline with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communications skills with peers and supervisors
• Valid drivers\' license required
