Brake and Shear Operator \xe2\x80\x93 Silhouette Enclosures
Salary: $22.00-38.00/hour

Silhouette Enclosures is a premier industrial contractor specializing in the design, fabrication, assembly, installation and finishing of custom enclosures marketed worldwide. Silhouette focuses primarily on Mining, Oil & Gas, Telecommunications, utilities, Material Handling and Forestry industries. Silhouette designs and manufactures industrial enclosures to our customer specifications. Silhouette Enclosures is seeking a hardworking Brake and Shear Operator with strong mechanical, problem-solving, and mathematical skills. The Brake and Shear Operator is a team player with great communication skills and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment. You will be working with an amazing team of Production, Labourers, Electricians and Welder/Fabricators.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ability to read, interpret, verify, and analyze shop drawings/blueprints
• Ability to operate CNC 12\xe2\x80\x99 brake press and 12\xe2\x80\x99 shear
• Production and prototype bending of parts as directed
• Preform simple to complex forming, rolling and step bending of metal parts
• Produce parts and ensure quality and design compliance is acceptable to company and customer standards and specifications.
• Set-up, maintain and operate machinery
• Lift and move products and materials with operating an overhead crane
• Follow all equipment safety procedures and wear PPE as required
• Identify suggest opportunities for improvement

Qualifications:

• Experience with Hand Bender, Motor Control Equipment, and Industrial Electrical Systems.
• Previous experience working with hydraulic brake press & metal fabrication
• Familiar with metal thickness
• Knowledge of bending allowances
• Excellent Communication Skills.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50lbs
• Forklift experience, ticketed an asset
• Occupational First Aid Level 1, an asset
• Trades-related work experience: 1-year minimum.
• Safety conscious
• Grade 12 education or equivalent trade work experience

Shifts
Silhouette Enclosures is pleased to offer a variety of shift options to allow employees to maintain personal and family life.

• Days Monday-Thursday 6:30 am -4:30 pm
• Afternoons Monday-Thursday 3:30pm-1:30 am
• Weekends Fri-Sunday (3 x 12 hour shifts)

• Shift Differential for afternoon and weekend shifts
