We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented

Brake Press Operator

to join our

Production Team

. In this role, you'll play a critical part in shaping and forming components with precision, ensuring every product meets HERD's high standards for quality and craftsmanship.

Brake Press Operator

Location:

2168 Springfield Road (no bus routes)

Role Type:

Full-time, Day Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Wage:

$21.00-$26.00/hour


Key Responsibilities:



Set up, operate, and maintain brake press machinery. Conduct pre-shift inspections of machines and workspaces. Adjust speed, pressure, and dimensions for accurate forming and shaping. Inspect finished products using measurement tools to verify quality standards. Label and organize components to minimize errors and downtime. Perform daily machine maintenance and preventative checks. Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and assist with repairs as needed. Collaborate with team members and other departments to maintain smooth production flow. Follow all safety standards, including safe lifting of up to 50 lbs. and proper use of PPE. Support continuous improvement, team development, and production goals.

Qualifications:



Previous experience operating a brake press or similar machinery is preferred. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurements. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Comfortable using measurement tools and computerized machine inputs. Capable of lifting and maneuvering up to 50 lbs. safely. Detail-focused with a commitment to quality, safety, and efficiency. Team player with good communication and collaboration skills.
