Select, install, and adjust proper tooling, dies, and machine settings.
Conduct first-article inspections and verify part dimensions using calipers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools.
Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and consistency throughout production runs.
Make necessary adjustments to maintain tolerances and minimize scrap.
Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting of brake press equipment.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with company and OSHA standards.
Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and quality control to resolve production issues.
Qualifications:
Proven experience operating
Amada brake press machines
(or equivalent CNC press brakes).
Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes and materials.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.
Skilled in using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, protractors, etc.).
Mechanical aptitude with attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Preferred:
Prior experience in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment.
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.
