Job Summary

Paramount Components in Abbotsford is growing rapidly and is seeking someone to join our team to set up and run press brakes on our new shift 4 days a week, from 12pm-10:30pm Monday-Thursday. With opportunties for overtime on fridays and weekends for those we enjoy extra hours. The position has a chance to grow into a set up operator to manage the breaks with multiple staff as it grows.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating press brake machines and will be responsible for producing high-quality metal components according to specifications. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to read blueprints effectively. Our current press brakes are Trumpf 7036 and 5130. Must be able to set up with previous experience and wage will be dependant on on site brake knowledge and set up. Shift premium ontop of aquired wage is 1$

Responsibilities

Set up and Operate press Trumpf brake machines to bend and shape metal components as per production requirements. Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate fabrication of parts. Conduct quality inspections of finished products to ensure they meet specifications and standards. Utilize hand tools, calipers, and other measuring instruments for precise measurements. Collaborate with team members in assembly processes and maintain a clean and organized work area. Perform routine maintenance on equipment and troubleshoot any issues that arise during operation. Follow safety protocols and guidelines while operating machinery and handling materials.

Experience

Proven experience as a Press Brake Operator or in a similar manufacturing role is required. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate cranes and forklifts safely. Basic math skills are essential for accurate measurements and calculations in the manufacturing process. Experience with quality inspection processes and assembly techniques is highly valued.
