Rolmaster Conveyors, a Canadian manufacturing company, requires a
Permanent Full Time Brake Press and Laser Cutting Machine Operator
in a fast-paced environment at our facility in Cambridge, Ontario.
Day Shift
, Monday to Friday, 42 hours per week (Monday to Thursday 7:00 am to 5:00 pm; Friday 7:00 am to 11:00 am). Overtime is paid after 42 hours. Location is on bus route.

About the position:
The Brake Press and Laser Cutting Machine Operator will be responsible for setting up and operating press brake machinery to bend, form, and shape steel components according to production requirements, as well as setting up and cutting jobs on our laser cutting machine. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong technical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Advanced computer experience is required.
Candidates must also have brake press set-up experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Laser Cutting Machine Operations
:
Set up, program, and operate laser cutting machine to produce components as per specifications.
Understand nesting fundamentals and knowledge of nesting software (laying out the designs to be cut from a flat piece of material to minimize raw material waste).
Inspect and verify parts for accuracy and quality compliance.
Troubleshoot laser equipment as needed.
Brake Press Operations
:
Set up and operate press brake machine to produce high-quality metal parts of various sizes and thicknesses.
Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine specifications and requirements.
Utilize calipers and other measuring tools to ensure precise dimensions of finished products.
Conduct quality inspections throughout the production process to maintain standards. This includes ensuring parts are defect-free and the correct shapes, dimensions and other specifications.
Be able to troubleshoot issues which may arise during operation.
Work with team members to optimize production efficiency and reduce waste.
Operate overhead cranes and forklifts safely for material handling as required.
Fabricate components using hand tools and welding techniques as needed.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a Press Brake Operator in a manufacturing environment.
Previous experience operating laser cutting machines and nesting software.
Proficiency with calipers, tape measures, and quality inspection methods.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and schematics.
Experience with machining processes and hand tools is beneficial.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Computer literacy
Strong mathematical aptitude.
Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve effectively and efficiently

REQUIRED SKILLS
Minimum 1 year of experience
