Alstar is currently looking for Alberta B-Pressure Welders for our SE Shop (8700 Venture Ave SE) for all shifts (day, night and weekend).

Job Summary:

• Welding of pressure vessels, piping, and fabrication of various other steel components
• Ensure production timelines are met and components are shipped on time
• Fabricate components to exact design specifications
• Read, understand and follow all Safe Work Practices and Procedures for machinery and equipment
• Must be able to work in a team environment
• Follow existing work standards and look for further improvements
• Other duties may apply

• Certified Journeyman along with Alberta B-Pressure certificate
• 3-5 years experience on pressure vessels and piping
• CSTS-09
• The ability to read and interpret blueprints, cut lists, and weld symbols
• The ability to use tools & equipment safely and abide by the health and safety rules
• The ability to prioritize, multi-task and work within a group setting
• STT/RMD, Metalcore and Tig experience would be an asset
• GTAW experience required
• Spooling experience required
• Welding stainless steel and asset

• You will work in a large manufacturing facility with other trades present
