Boutique Sales Associate :
Purpose of this Position:
The Boutique Sales Associate is responsible for ensuring our guests have a personal, immersive retail experience. Retail works closely with our Spa, Apothecary, Sales and Warehouse departments. You will support sales goals, offer product knowledge and demonstrations, and help guests extend their wellness journey at home. Ste. Anne's places great value on offering exceptional, personalized guest experiences by delivery sensory-based product demonstrations, value-added services, and curated take-home recommendations.

Responsibilities:
1. Deliver Value-Added Experiences
Provide product demonstrations and complimentary services
Schedule and monitor implementation of value-added services for the team
Help guests engage with products through
touch, scent, taste, sound, and sight
Create a calm, engaging, and wellness-focused retail environment
Stay guest-focused at all times -- avoid off-topic or internal discussions
2. Achieve Daily Sales Targets
Meet daily individual and team sales targets
Follow guidance from the Boutique Manager on best practices
Use Maestro POS system to process sales and track performance
Promote ongoing specials, seasonal promotions, and bundled offers
Merchandise and educate guests on key products to support wellness at home
3. Maintain Inventory & Stock Levels
Participate in quarterly inventory counts
Perform regular product checks to ensure sufficient stock is available on the floor
Receive, label, and stock incoming shipments
Ensure all items are priced and displayed correctly
Keep retail and stock areas clean, organized, and presentable
4. Research and Recommend New Products
Stay curious and engaged with new wellness trends and products
Make recommendations for new items based on guest interest and seasonal needs
5. Assist with Boutique Product Ordering
Assist the Boutique Manager with ordering processes as trained
Submit vendor orders when appropriate and ensure accuracy
6. Other Duties and Expectations
Participate in floor sets, window changes, and store updates
Maintain proper recycling and waste practices
Ensure all guest concerns are addressed or escalated appropriately
Arrive on time and do not leave the boutique unattended
Maintain a polished, professional appearance (including safety shoes)
Help foster a supportive, team-based work culture
Job Requirements:
Weekends, evenings and holidays as needed
Scheduled shifts may be between 8 - 10 hours
Maintain personal hygiene, including clean, controlled hair and appropriate hair covering
Able to stand for long periods of time
Able to lift up to 50 lbs
Able to bend, reach and use repetitive movements
Able to squat, kneel, bend, lift, twist at the waist, and reach above the shoulder
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 year's experience in retail required
Experience in cosmetic or wellness retail preferred
Experience or interest in skincare, body care or wellness products an asset
High school diploma or equivalent required
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
