Job Description

Best Metals, an affiliate of John Ross & Sons Ltd. is currently looking to add to their team. Our Bottle Sorter will be working in a public setting with customer interactions ongoing throughout the shift; excellent communication and customer service skills are essential.


Primary Responsibilities:

Accurately count refundables brought in by customers (bottles, cans, etc.) and record them on counting slips. Calculate and pay customers for refundables based on counting slip totals. Load, unload, and move products and materials by hand or with basic handling equipment. Pack, unpack, sort, crate, stock goods and materials and maintain organized inventory. Maintain a clean and hazard-free work environment. Sort through various types of metals/materials

Requirements:

The ability to maintain and organize inventory is a priority. Excellent Customer Service Skills Reliable transportation to and from work. CSA-certified steel-toed footwear.


Physical Requirements/Working conditions:

Ability to carry and lift up to 50lbs repetitively. Must be able to do the following movements during extended periods of time: Lifting, pulling, climbing, standing, sitting, lying down, squatting and kneeling. Must be able to work both inside the warehouse and outside in all weather conditions (including extreme cold, heat, and inclimate weather)
