Bookkeeping Manager

to join our leadership team and ensure smooth financial operations while helping us achieve our ambitious goals.

What You'll Do



As the Bookkeeping Manager, you'll oversee all financial and accounting functions for the company and manage a team of three assistants. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll be responsible for:

Financial Oversight & Strategy

Managing all aspects of banking, account reconciliation, and cash flow. Overseeing payroll processing, vendor payments, and expense management. Tracking account balances and ensuring timely owner payouts. Managing credit card payments and owner account charges.

Team Leadership

Mentoring and managing a team of three accounting assistants to ensure productivity, accuracy, and growth. Delegating and streamlining tasks to maximize efficiency within the department. Driving process improvements to ensure financial accuracy and efficiency.

Reporting & Compliance

Generating detailed financial reports and metrics for leadership. Ensuring compliance with all relevant accounting and tax regulations. Managing audits and working with external accounting firms as needed.

What We're Looking For



To thrive in this role, you will need:

Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, including managerial responsibilities. Property management or real estate experience is a strong asset.

Education:

A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA designation is preferred but not required.

Leadership Skills:

Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop a team.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Buildium), payroll systems, and Google Suite (especially Excel).

Problem Solving:

Strong analytical skills with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.

Communication:

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders.
