We are looking for a detail-oriented

Bookkeeping Clerk

to support our finance team with a strong focus on

searching, identifying, and resolving discrepancies

in financial data and transactions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing financial documents, verifying entries and ensuring data integrity across various ledgers and systems.

Skills and Experience:

Strong ability to search, trace, and resolve accounting discrepancies. Knowledge of accounting principles and practices. Proficiency in Microsoft, computer and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero). Excellent attention to detail and data entry skills. Strong organizational and time management abilities. Good communication skills in English. High degree of accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality.
Job Duties

Conduct searches to identify errors, missing transactions, or inconsistencies in financial records. Investigate discrepancies in accounts payable/receivable, and general ledger entries. Verify that financial transactions are correctly recorded in the proper books (daybook, supplier ledger, customer ledger, general ledger). Assist in bringing books to the trial balance stage and support month-end/year-end close processes. Enter, update, and manage data in accounting systems with a high level of accuracy. Support tax form completion and other compliance documentation. Perform spot checks to ensure accuracy and integrity of postings. Maintain organized records and filing systems (digital and/or paper-based).
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
