We are a Toronto-based real estate development company specializing in small multi-plex projects within the city. Our work focuses on thoughtful, efficient developments that contribute to the character and growth of Toronto's neighbourhoods. We are a small, hands-on team and are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented individual to support both our bookkeeping and project administration needs.

Position Overview:


The Bookkeeper/Project Administrator will play a dual role in managing day-to-day accounting functions while also supporting the coordination and administration of active construction and development projects. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-driven, and able to balance numbers with project management tasks.

Key Responsibilities:



Bookkeeping & Accounting

Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate entry of transactions Prepare invoices, track payments, and follow up on outstanding receivables Reconcile bank and credit card statements Assist with cash flow tracking and financial reporting Support year-end preparation for accountants
Project Administration

Maintain organized project files, contracts, and compliance documents Track budgets, expenses, and change orders across multiple projects Assist with preparing lender draw packages, reports, and submissions Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and suppliers on project documentation and timelines Monitor project milestones and follow up on deliverables Support internal team with scheduling, communication, and reporting

Qualifications:



2-4 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or project administration (real estate or construction industry experience is an asset) Proficiency with QuickBooks Online (or similar accounting software) and Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail Familiarity with project management workflows and construction/development terminology (preferred) Excellent written and verbal communication skills Self-motivated, resourceful, and able to work both independently and within a small team environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$26.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
