Job Overview


We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper/Office Administrator to join our team. This role is vital in maintaining accurate financial records, managing day-to-day office operations, and supporting our accounting functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting software and financial concepts, with experience in both corporate and non-profit accounting environments. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic setting, utilizing your expertise in bookkeeping, financial reporting, and office management to contribute to the organization's success.

Responsibilities



Manage and maintain accurate financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, and Quicken Perform general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account analysis, and account reconciliation Conduct bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure data accuracy Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently Prepare financial reports, including budgeting, financial statement writing, and GAAP-compliant reports Handle payroll processing and related tax filings with precision Maintain general ledger reconciliation and ensure compliance with governmental accounting standards Assist with tax preparation and ensure adherence to relevant regulations Support office administration tasks such as data entry, document management, warehouse staff management and correspondence management Ensure proper bookkeeping practices are followed across all financial activities Collaborate with external auditors or accountants during audits or reviews as needed

Requirements



Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms Strong understanding of accounting principles including GAAP, double-entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and financial concepts Experience with governmental accounting, nonprofit accounting, or public accounting is preferred Proficiency in bank reconciliation, general ledger reconciliation, account analysis, and journal entries Knowledge of payroll processing and tax compliance procedures Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry and reporting Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment Prior experience in bookkeeping for corporate or nonprofit organizations is highly desirable
