We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Shop Manager to oversee daily operations of our retail store. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of retail management. This role involves managing staff, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales growth while maintaining operational efficiency. Responsibilities
Lead and supervise store staff, including recruiting, training, and developing team members to achieve performance goals
Oversee daily store operations, ensuring smooth functioning of sales, inventory management, and customer service
Manage merchandising strategies to optimize product placement and presentation
Handle purchasing decisions and inventory replenishment to meet customer demand
Maintain accurate cash handling procedures and oversee cashiering activities using POS systems
Develop and implement marketing initiatives to increase store visibility and sales
Monitor pricing strategies to ensure competitiveness while maintaining profitability
Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, policies, and performance feedback
Manage budgeting processes and control expenses to meet financial targets
Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety standards, and legal regulations
Utilize organizational skills to coordinate store activities efficiently and effectively
Requirements
Proven experience in retail management or store supervision with strong leadership capabilities
Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to build relationships with vendors and customers
Bilingual or multilingual proficiency is preferred for effective communication with diverse clientele and staff
Strong background in merchandising, sales management, marketing, and customer service
Proficiency in POS systems, bookkeeping, payroll processing, and administrative tasks
Demonstrated experience in supervising teams, training staff, and developing talent
Exceptional organizational skills with effective time management abilities
Sound math skills for pricing, budgeting, and financial analysis
Excellent communication skills including phone etiquette and interpersonal interactions
Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly
Experience with interviewing candidates and conducting hiring processes is desirable
