Degree in Accounting
2-5 Years of Experience in a similar role
Proficient skill in Microsoft Excel
Experience with Oracle Netsuite is an added benefit
Experience with Sage 50 Quantum Accounting is an added benefit
Responsibilities:
Maintaining the accounting records for a wholesale business and franchise company
Preparing financial reports for owners and directors on a month-to-month basis
Assessing operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes
Overseeing regulatory reporting including sales tax, tobacco tax, deductions at source, CNESST and corporate tax filings
Preparing and managing annual and quarterly budgets and comparing them to actuals
Calculating and reconciling franchise fees, royalties and marketing fees
Coordinating with external accountants to complete year end reports & corporate taxation
Management and balancing of inter-company transactions
Daily banking with BMO online for business
Managing and coordinating payroll and employee group benefits
Assist with new franchise openings by creating detailed budgets vs actuals
Dealing with governments and banks to secure loans, line of credits & grants.
Develop and maintained strong relationships with customers and suppliers
Training and reviewing the work of the part time bookkeeper
