This role starts with internal support and transitions into full client ownership as capacity opens. We are not looking for a junior data-entry clerk or a senior advisor we are looking for a
solid production bookkeeper
who wants stability, clear systems, and room to grow.
If you are accurate, dependable, and comfortable working inside defined processes, you'll do well here.
Phase 1: Support & Integration
You will initially work directly with our Head Bookkeeper, assisting with:
Bookkeeping in
QuickBooks Online
and
Sage 50
High-volume transaction entry and categorization
Accounts payable and accounts receivable
Bank and credit card reconciliations
Matching transactions to source documents
Cleaning up uncategorized or duplicate entries
Preparing files for review
Maintaining clean and organized digital records
Supporting whatever the Head Bookkeeper needs to keep workflow moving
This phase is about learning our systems and building trust through clean execution.
Phase 2: Client Ownership
As capacity opens, you will gradually take ownership of your own client files, including:
Monthly bookkeeping for assigned clients
Maintaining accurate and timely records
Handling routine client bookkeeping questions (non-advisory)
Ensuring deadlines are met
Keeping files clean and review-ready
Client load will scale with performance and comfort level.
Required Qualifications
Strong working knowledge of
QuickBooks Online
Working knowledge of
Sage 50
(required)
Solid understanding of bookkeeping fundamentals (AP, AR, reconciliations)
Strong attention to detail
Ability to follow SOPs and checklists
Comfortable with both repetitive work and responsibility
Reliable, coachable, and consistent
Nice to Have (Not Required)
Experience in a bookkeeping or accounting firm
Familiarity with receipt capture tools (Dext)
Experience managing small business clients
Prior exposure to construction or service-based businesses
What This Role Is NOT
Not advisory or CFO work
Not tax preparation
Not payroll ownership (support only, unless trained later)
Not a "figure it out yourself" environment
You will be trained, supported, and reviewed -- accuracy and accountability matter here.
