This long term, 8-12 hour per week position is well suited to someone who likes a bit of flexibility in their work week.

A typical day:

Managing Accounts Payable and Receivable

Reconciling expense accounts and credit cards
/lili
Reviewing financial data and producing monthly financial statements

Assist with budgeting
/lili
Processing payroll through Payworks

Successful candidates will have:

Must have a minimum of 5 years non-profit financial management experience

Good knowledge of Canada Revenue Agency\'s Registered Charities regulations
/lili
Knowledge of Sage/Simply Accounting as well as MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
/lili
Familiarity with grants, proposal development, and fundraising
/lili
Experience with online payroll systems (Payworks)
/lili
Knowledge of Canada Helps, Central 1 systems
/lili
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
