We're looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented
Bookkeeper & Administrative Assistant
to join our team. This dual-role position is perfect for someone who enjoys working with numbers and also excels at keeping the office running smoothly. If you're proactive, reliable, and thrive in a fast-paced environment -- we'd love to meet you.
Key Responsibilities
Bookkeeping Duties:
Manage accounts payable and receivable
Reconcile bank and credit card statements
Prepare and submit HST filings
Process payroll and employee records
Prepare and file WSIB and government remittances
Maintain accurate financial records and reports
Assist with budgeting and forecasting
Administrative Duties:
Answer phones, respond to emails, and manage correspondence
Maintain organized filing systems (digital and physical)
Manage vendor accounts
Provide general administrative support to management and field teams
Assist with onboarding of new hires (forms, training schedules, etc.)
Requirements
2+ years of experience in bookkeeping or administrative roles (construction or trades industry is a plus)
Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar)
Strong knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel, Word, Outlook)
Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and handle confidential information
Strong written and verbal communication
Self-motivated and comfortable working independently or in a team
Bonus Skills (Nice to Have):
Familiarity with payroll software (e.g. Ceridian)
Experience with construction or equipment rental businesses
