Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring the integrity of our accounting data. This role requires proficiency in a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles to support the company's financial health and compliance. The Bookkeeper will play a critical role in account reconciliation, bank statement analysis, and budgeting processes, contributing to the overall efficiency of our financial operations.

Responsibilities

Maintain and update financial records using Jonas Construction accounting software Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections Perform account reconciliation and bank reconciliation to verify accuracy of financial data Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies or irregularities and resolve issues promptly Assist with payroll processing, ensuring accurate calculation and timely distribution Prepare financial reports and summaries for management review Support budgeting activities by tracking expenses and forecasting future financial needs Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies Assist in year-end closing procedures and audit preparations

Qualifications

Formal accounting education Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles, 5 years minimum Knowledge of payroll processing is mandatory Strong understanding of accounting principles, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to analyze financial data accurately and efficiently Strong communication skills, bilingualism - French - English is an asset Must be reliable, punctual and strong team player High level of integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information

Pay: $60,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
