Job Description

We are seeking a diligent Bookkeeper to join our team in North York, Ontario. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial records, managing payroll, and handling financial transactions. This role also involves maintaining the integrity of account reconciliations and ensuring smooth communication with franchisees. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity.Responsibilities:

• Oversee the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions to ensure timely and accurate payment and receipt of funds.
• Conduct monthly bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial data.
• Handle the full cycle of bookkeeping tasks, including data entry and month-end close processes.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks for various financial tasks and reporting.
• Manage the payroll function to ensure all employees are paid accurately and on time.
• Maintain open and clear communication lines with franchisees to address any financial concerns or inquiries.
• Ensure compliance with HST requirements in all financial transactions.
• Regularly review and reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)
• Knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Familiarity with Bank Reconciliations
• Proven experience in Bookkeeping
• High-speed and accurate Data Entry skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience in Month End Close processes
• Understanding of Payroll procedures
• Proficiency in QuickBooks software
