About the Role



We're looking for a

Bookkeeper

who's organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and thrives in the fast-paced world of

CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods)

. You'll manage day-to-day accounting and play a key role in

tracking trade spend, reconciling MCBs (Manufacturer Chargebacks), and filing claims

with distributors and retail partners.

This role is perfect for someone who loves structure and precision but also enjoys collaborating across departments to make things happen.

What You'll Do



What You'll DoAccounting & Financial Operations



Manage the

full cycle of accounts payable and receivable

on a weekly basis. Perform

bank reconciliations

and

credit card reconciliations

regularly. Prepare and

file quarterly GST/QST reports

with

Revenu Quebec

. Record

journal entries

, maintain the

general ledger

, and keep

fixed asset registers

up to date. Process

employee expense accounts, petty cash receipts, and travel reimbursements

. Identify and resolve

invoice discrepancies

, working supply chain coordinator to validate invoices. Support

month-end and year-end closing

with external accountants. Perform various

administrative accounting tasks

to support daily operations.

Streamline accounting structures and systems

to improve efficiency.

Trade Spend & MCB Tracking



Maintain and update

MCB logs

to track promotional deductions and trade activity. Reconcile

chargebacks and distributor deductions

with trade promotions and sales data. Partner with sales and operations to ensure

accurate trade spend allocation and reporting

.

Claims Management



File and track

claims

with distributors and retailers for

MCBs, billbacks, and short-pays

. Follow up on outstanding claims to ensure

timely resolution and collection

. Maintain

organized digital documentation

for all claims and deductions.

Reporting & Financial Analysis



Prepare

financial reports, trade spend summaries, and budgeting data

for management. Perform

account analysis, reconciliation, and technical accounting

as needed. Generate

detailed financial reports

and support the

forecasting process

. Continuously improve

reporting accuracy, structure, and efficiency

.

What We're Looking For



2-5 years

of bookkeeping or accounting experience (

CPG or food industry preferred

). Proven experience in

bookkeeping, accounting, and financial analysis

. Proficiency in

QuickBooks Online

,

Odoo

,

Sage

,

Xero

, or

Quicken

. Solid understanding of

GAAP principles and accounting best practices

. Experience in

public accounting

or

non-profit accounting

is a plus. Strong knowledge of

account analysis, reconciliation, and budgeting

. Excellent

10-key typing

and

data entry accuracy

. Knowledge of

tax regulations

related to payroll and business operations. Familiarity with

trade management tools

such as

KeHE Connect

and

UNFI

is a plus. Extremely

accurate, organized, and detail-oriented

-- you catch what others might miss. Collaborative

team player

with excellent communication and a positive attitude.
