Role Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented bookkeeper to join our finance team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the bookkeeper will be responsible for full cycle of accounting operations and payroll. This role is ideal for a self-starter who embraces challenges in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Process financial transactions including accounts receivable, accounts payable and general ledger. Monitor payments and sales collections. Act as the first point of contact for invoice enquiries. Perform timely bank/account reconciliation and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner. Assist in the preparation of financial statements and month-end closing. Process bi-weekly payroll in line with legislation and company policies and issue ROEs when needed. Provide data and accounts analysis to support management's decision. Identify internal control risks and recommend areas for process improvement. Other duties as assigned by the Finance Manager.

Qualifications

Diploma in Accounting. 1-3 years of full cycle accounting experience required Proficiency in QuickBooks and advanced Excel is a strong asset Canadian payroll experience preferred Attention to details and highly organized Excellent analytical and communication skills Able to collaborate with other teams and prioritize tasks in a busy environment Fluent in English and Mandarin/ Cantonese
