The Bookkeeper is primarily responsible for maintaining the books of The Bridge Youth Resource Centre.

Primary Responsibilities
:
Bookkeeping (e.g., maintain general ledgers and financial statements, post journal entries, prepare trial balance of books), including on-line banking
Conducting bank deposits
Payroll (e.g., calculate and prepare cheques, submit ROEs, government forms, etc.)
Assist with monthly and annual budgets
Prepare other statistical, financial and accounting reports, as well as add in update to donor registry and relay of reports to Board of Directors and other committee members as needed
Preparation of yearly tax receipts and annual audits
Assist with financial aspects of fund development events
Assist with other administrative duties, as needed
Assist with record keeping of monthly rental income and issuing of receipts as required
Other responsibilities as identified by the Executive Director
Education and Experience
:
Good working knowledge of QuickBooks accounting
Qualifications
:
Strong administrative and organizational skills
Previous experience working with not-for-profits is preferable
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to work in a collaborative, team environment
Proficiency in the area of computers and Microsoft Office programs
