Job Overview


We are hiring a

driven, detail-focused Bookkeeper/Accountant

to join our growing financial services team. This role is ideal for someone who takes ownership, communicates clearly, and wants long-term growth in a company that values efficiency, accuracy, and client service. You will work with a supportive team, manage a variety of client files, and have the opportunity to grow into a senior or supervisory role.

You will be responsible for

full-cycle bookkeeping

, including transaction entry, reconciliations, payroll, month-end review, year-end preparation, and direct client communication. Strong technical skills, initiative, and the ability to manage deadlines are essential.

QuickBooks Online (QBO)

experience is required.

CPAs and CPA candidates are also welcome.



Duties & Responsibilities Include:



Full-cycle bookkeeping using QBO (journal entries, GL review, adjustments) Bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations Accounts payable and receivable management Prepare monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) Process payroll and government remittances (HST, T4s, ROEs, WSIB) Month-end and year-end working papers Maintain accurate digital records (Dext, OneDrive) Communicate with clients regarding missing information, deadlines, and updates Identify discrepancies and resolve accounting issues Support budgeting, cash flow planning, and audit preparation Collaborate with a small team and help improve internal systems

Required Skills:



Proficiency in

QuickBooks Online (QBO)

Strong understanding of double-entry accounting Experience with reconciliations and month-end processes Payroll processing and government filing experience Strong communication skills with clients and team members Ability to prioritize deadlines and manage multiple client files High accuracy, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills Solid organizational skills and comfort using cloud-based systems

Bonus / Optional Skills:



CPA designation or CPA student Experience with nonprofit or multi-entity accounting Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas) Experience training or supervising junior bookkeepers Ability to streamline workflows and develop internal systems Client service or admin support background Experience with Dext or other receipt management tools
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 40 per week
