Job Description

Melo LLP is seeking an experienced and driven professional to join one of our clients in the Concord, Ontario area as a Bookkeeper/Accounts Administrator. Your strong organizational abilities will be essential in successfully managing multiple books of business within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Performing all accounting functions; including but not limited to payables, receivables, bank statements, credit card statements and journal entries Preparing and analyzing general ledgers and monthly financial statements Processing bi-weekly payroll and inter-company billings for allocation Preparing and filing monthly and quarterly tax remittances - HST returns, source deductions, EHT, WSIB, etc. Managing bank transfers for all inter-company transactions Assist CFO with completing all annual financial statements Assist with T4, T5, and T5018 contractor payment returns Other administrative duties as assigned

Requirements/Skills:

Approximately 5 years full cycle accounting experience with multiple books of business Excellent working knowledge of Sage 50 or a similar accounting software Certified Professional Bookkeeper would be ideal Strong bookkeeping and payroll technical skills Related work experience in public accounting or with a small to medium sized business would be an asset Proficient MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) Excellent attention to detail, communication and organizational skills Sound judgement regarding confidential information and sensitive matters Strong work ethic and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team Strong understanding of a customer focused, fast paced work environment with the ability to meet deadlines Construction company bookkeeping experience would be as asset
