Key Responsibilities
Maintain full-cycle bookkeeping for small business and corporate clients
Record and reconcile bank, credit card, and loan accounts
Prepare and file
corporate tax returns (T2)
with supporting schedules
Prepare and process
T4 slips
and year-end payroll reconciliations
Prepare and file
T5 slips
for investment/interest/dividend income
Handle
WSIB
reporting and remittances
Prepare and review HST/GST returns and other government filings
Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end working papers
Communicate with clients regarding missing information, questions, and follow-ups
Support the owner/accountant with ad hoc bookkeeping and accounting tasks
Required Skills & Experience
4+ years of bookkeeping experience
(public practice or multiple clients preferred)
Strong proficiency with
QuickBooks Online
Experience with
Xero
is required (comfortable working in both platforms)
Hands-on experience preparing
corporate tax filings (T2)
Solid understanding of
T4s, payroll remittances, and year-end payroll
Experience preparing
T5 slips
Knowledge of
WSIB
reporting and employer obligations (Ontario)
Strong understanding of debits/credits and full-cycle bookkeeping
High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines
Good written and verbal communication skills
