Job Description

Responsibilities



Record daily financial transactions, including sales, receipts, and disbursements. Manage and reconcile accounts, including bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledgers. Process accounts payable and accounts receivable and manage online banking transactions. Process payroll and prepare cheques for bills. Prepare and file government remittances, such as GST, source deductions, and other forms. Assist with or prepare financial statements and reports, and file tax returns. Coordinate with external accountants and assist with internal office administration.

Required skills and abilities



Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, and Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of fundamental bookkeeping principles and practices. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Time management and organizational skills. Ability to adapt to new systems and software.

Educational and experience requirements



A college diploma in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related field is often preferred. Some professional accounting courses or completion of the first level of a professional accounting program. At least three years of bookkeeping experience.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $43,000.00-$62,000.00 per year
