About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Manager, Rehabilitation Services and Orthopedic Assessment Clinic. This position works as a part of a team to facilitate patient flow through the Clinic service. As part of a multidisciplinary team, the Booking & Registration Clerk provides supportive service to patients, core staff and physicians and works in cooperation with departments within the hospital setting as well as other areas as required.

The Booking & Registration Clerk ensures that the principles and practices that guide NSHA such as the mission, vision, values, expected behaviors, the leadership philosophy, organizational health, population health, ethics, safety, quality, partnerships and Interprofessional collaboration are integrated within the services they provide and through the messages they deliver.

About You

  • Graduate of a recognized office administration program or equivalent required
  • Completion of medical terminology certificate required
  • Minimum of one year recent related clerical experience which includes utilizing medical terminology, patient booking systems, health care systems and processes
  • Microsoft Office expertise in Word, Excel and Outlook required.
  • Clerical experience related to patient booking using Community Wide Scheduling required
  • Experience with Telehealth booking and set up preferred
  • Demonstrated communication skills, both written and oral required
  • Physical capabilities to perform the duties of the position
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Hours
  • Permanent, Full-time; 70 Hours Bi-weekly
Compensation and Incentives

$20.09 - $21.90 Hourly

Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan. (Permanent Long Assignments Only)
