We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Back of House Supervisor to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen and food service areas. As a Back of House Supervisor, you will oversee kitchen staff, manage food preparation processes, and ensure that all operations align with our restaurant's goals.
Duties
Supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and cooking processes.
Train new employees on food handling techniques, safety protocols, and kitchen procedures.
Manage inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen according to health and safety regulations.
Oversee the use of POS systems, including Micros POS, for accurate order processing and cash handling.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery to customers.
Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
Assist in menu planning and development while ensuring quality standards are met.
Handle customer inquiries or complaints related to food service promptly and professionally.
Qualifications
Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and restaurant management.
Strong supervisory experience with a focus on team management in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is preferred.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to resolve issues effectively.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
Previous experience in the hospitality industry, including hotel or barista experience, is a plus.
Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
