Job Summary

We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Body Shop Estimator to join our automotive service team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing vehicle damage, preparing repair estimates, and providing exceptional customer service throughout the repair process. This role requires a strong understanding of automotive repair procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to upsell additional services when appropriate. The Body Shop Estimator plays a vital role in ensuring accurate assessments and fostering positive relationships with clients to promote trust and satisfaction.

Duties

Conduct thorough inspections of damaged vehicles to assess repair needs. Prepare detailed and accurate repair estimates using industry-standard software. Communicate effectively with customers to explain repair procedures, costs, and timelines. Collaborate with technicians and parts departments to ensure timely completion of repairs. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions, concerns, and providing updates on repair status. Upsell additional services or repairs that may benefit the customer while maintaining transparency. Handle cash transactions and process payments accurately. Maintain organized records of estimates, repairs, and customer interactions. Ensure compliance with dealership policies and industry standards for quality and safety.

Experience

Proven experience in automotive repair or collision estimating is desirable. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients. Experience in sales or upselling services to customers is beneficial. Familiarity with cash handling procedures and point-of-sale systems is advantageous.
