In the position of

Body Shop Estimator

reporting to the

Body Shop Manager,

the successful candidate will be responsible for estimating parts, labor requirements, and repair costs. Key duties include assessing vehicle damage, providing accurate repair estimates to customers, and ensuring a high standard of customer service throughout the repair process.

You will be accountable for:

Accurately estimate parts and labor requirements for vehicle repairs, using standard automotive labor and parts-cost manuals to provide precise estimates to customers. Examine vehicle damage to determine the extent of structural, body, mechanical, electrical, or interior repairs needed. Collaborate with the Manager to review and confirm repair-cost estimates, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Prepare and maintain estimate documentation, securing customer signatures and ensuring all records are accurate and up-to-date. Plan and coordinate parts requirements for all body shop jobs to ensure timely and efficient repair processes. Engage directly with customers to discuss repair estimates, answer questions, and provide clarity regarding the repair process. Monitor and track all estimates provided to customers, maintaining an organized record for follow-ups and workflow management. Deliver exceptional customer service to every customer or potential customer, consistently upholding the dealership's standards. Perform any other duties as assigned by the General Manager to support the body shop's operations.

To be successful in this role, you must have:

A valid driver's license. Demonstrated expertise in automotive body repairs. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Highly adaptable, with strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively in a diverse workplace. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong attention to detail. Professionalism, sensitivity, tact, and diplomacy in all interactions. Proficient in computer skills.

Working Conditions:

Work in a collision center with exposure to vehicles, chemicals, and various weather conditions. Must follow all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE).
