We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Massage Therapist to join our wellness team. The ideal candidate will provide professional massage therapy services to clients, promoting relaxation, pain relief, and overall well-being. This role requires a strong understanding of various massage techniques and excellent customer service skills to ensure a positive client experience. The Massage Therapist will work in a serene environment dedicated to health and relaxation, helping clients achieve their wellness goals through personalized treatments.
Responsibilities
Perform professional massage therapy sessions tailored to individual client needs, including Swedish, deep tissue, sports, or other modalities.
Conduct client consultations to assess their health history and specific concerns before treatment.
Maintain a clean and hygienic workspace, adhering to all health and safety standards.
Educate clients on post-treatment care and recommend appropriate follow-up treatments or self-care routines.
Keep detailed records of treatments provided and client progress for future reference.
Ensure excellent customer service by creating a welcoming environment and addressing client questions or concerns professionally.
Stay updated with the latest massage techniques and industry best practices through ongoing education.
Skills
Knowledge of medical terminology related to health conditions and treatment plans.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with clients.
Excellent communication skills to explain treatment procedures clearly and listen actively to client needs.
Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and a calming presence during sessions.
Certification or licensing as required by state regulations for massage therapy.
Prior experience in a spa or wellness setting is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided if needed.
