Job Description

Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

Tasks

Interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications to plan methods or sequences of operation Operate heavy equipment Read blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements Measure distance, volume, length and weight Operate computer controlled equipment Complete onboard and other logs Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment Secure special attachments to equipment Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment Perform minor repairs to equipment
