Starting wage is$18.00/hourThe Bliss MH assumes the responsibilities of setting up the Packing line and troubleshooting the process as the Line is running. This also includes ensuring the Line has the material, equipment and staffing needed to run the daily schedule. The Bliss MH is a key person in the Packing team for their Line.Perform Record Keeper duties on a regular basis and Material Handler Operator duties as required Perform and document all required Viaflex Packing In-process checks, tests and report results to production as necessary. Prepare reports documenting all production related data for all Packing lines. Maintain records of absenteeism, time and vacation for Department. This position backs up the Department Supervisors when absentDue to the nature of our business, Baxter follows Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) which requires our employees to focus on cleanliness and contamination control. Other aspects of GMP that must be observed are no makeup or jewelry in the production areasEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesSet up carton formers \xe2\x80\x93 a)Delkor b) SWFEnsure proper operation of carton formers. Load equipment with raw materials.Ensure proper operation of robots. Make minor adjustments to equipment. Report major malfunctions to supervisor and /or maintenanceComplete all necessary paperwork and maintaining records of absenteeism, hours and vacation for the department. Schedule batch changes. Utilize the following computer systems: Kronos/ AS400 andPerform Quality checks and record in EBR.Remove samples from trucks and collect final physicals.Record all discards by classification for each batch and return acceptable bags to the line.Report high discard rates to the Department responsible.Recount all discards and cartons packed, if batch units do not balance to zero.Schedule batch changes including carton size change for Bliss Operator.Perform batch changes including line clearance and EBR entries.Must fill in reconciliation on the shop floor sheet and then enter into computer.Scan and release Direction sheets to line as required.This position backs up the Department Supervisors when absentPrepare all production documents.Post correct data (code, lot expiration date) on batch boards at start of each batch.Record all labour transfer and time sheets and submit daily reports to accounting department.Perform Packing operations as required (break coverage) and drive Tow MotorResponsible for changeover & set up of palletizer, check weigher, carton forming and carton sealing equipment.Set up and operation of the ink jet.Obtain cardboard from WarehouseMonitor cartons at the end of the batch to minimize left over cartonsPrepare all production documents.Post correct data (code, lot expiration date) on batch boards at start of each batch.Record all labour transfer and time sheets and submit daily reports to accounting department.Perform Packing operations as required (break coverage) and drive Tow MotorPerform preventative maintenance on equipment and keep area clean and tidy.Assist on the pack line as neededJob RequirementsSuccessful completion of High School diploma or GED required (Proof will be requested)Fast-paced environment, high pressureExperience doing repetitive tasksPhysically demanding.Manufacturing/Quality experience in a GMP environmentExperience in food or manufacturing industryDemonstrated good attendance in present position.Demonstrated good performance & good quality in present position.Demonstrated good attitude utilizing Baxter\'s Shared CommitmentsAs this is considered a critical position overtime and ability to work Production Saturdays is mandatory.Experience in trouble-shooting mechanical problems.Demonstrated problem solving skills with the ability to prioritize.Proven ability to be proactive and self-motivated on the job.Must have the ability to comprehend Baxter specifications & SOP\xe2\x80\x99s and determine appropriate corrective actions.Equipment and tools used: Carton erectors, reach truck, miscellaneous hand tools, carton top sealer, coder, check-weigh scale, palletizer, ink Jet Printer, Robots, computers.#IND-CAReasonable AccommodationsBaxter is committed to working with and providing reasonable accommodations to individuals with disabilities globally.
