Blending Plant Operator/yard Labourer

Job Description
The Fertilizer Blending Plant and Yard Labourer position serves as a member of the team responsible for the operation of the fertilizer plant as well as performing maintenance on equipment essential to the day to day operation. Site maintenance and cleanliness in accordance to Company Policy. During the busy season, this position will also act as shift supervisor.
Position Responsibilities
:
Operation and calibration of blending plant equipment Maintain site and record maintenance and housekeeping in appropriate log books Adhere to safety protocols and document where possible Ensures equipment is operating properly Creates customer fertilizer blends in accordance to work orders Maintenance of yard site Overtime and irregular hours expected during busy times Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Mechanically inclined and able to troubleshoot and make minor repairs Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods Good organizational and time management skills Ability to lift heavy objects Forklift experience is an asset Communication skills - written and verbal * Must live in or close to the town of Biggar SK
