A Bistro Server has several duties and responsibilities to take care of, some of their typical responsibilities include calculating total payments received during a shift and reconciling with total sales. They also count money at the end of a shift and note any discrepancies. Other duties and responsibilities of a Cashier include:
o Assisting with shelf-stocking, clean up, and displays
o Keeping the register area neat and stocked with essential supplies
o Counting money in cash drawers at the end of shift
o Prepare and serve food and beverages in accordance with established recipes and standards
o Ensure all food handling and safety procedures are followed to maintain a clean and safe environment.
o Issuing the correct change due to the client
o Using electronic scanners to identify the price of the merchandise
o Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns
o Assist in the setup and breakdown of the bistro area, ensuring cleanliness and organization at all times.
o Maintain knowledge of menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods, to assist customers effectively.
BISTRO SERVER SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
A successful Bistro Server candidate must possess various prerequisite skills and qualifications needed for effective discharge of duties. Firstly, a Bistro Server needs to be an honest employee who can be trustworthy and reliable since they will be handling a great deal of money daily. It is helpful if they have good knowledge of the products and services of the company since they will constantly be in touch with clients.
