Marriott Courtyard Halifax Downtown is a small business in Halifax, NS. We are inclusive, innovative, and customer-centric.
Summary: This is a full time position. Must be available for weekends, Holidays, evenings if required. Responsible for the smooth operation of the Bistro in the hotel.
Essential Functions:
Duties (not limited to):
Customer service oriented
Maintaining all Marriott's food & beverage Quality Assurance Standards
Responsible for the kitchen and service operations, including meetings
Kitchen ordering of food and service supplies for kitchen and food services
Responsible for all training and coaching sessions for all associates
Responsible for ensuring Schedule is done and posted at least a week out
Monthly Inventory
Maintaining cleanliness of kitchen, Bistro and meeting rooms
Ensuring the department budget is followed
Ensuring that all required paperwork is completed daily
Interacting with sales department for meeting requirements and requests
Maintaining adequate food/supplies
Cleaning of all storage areas
Ensuring all staff are in uniform at all times during working hours
Positive, outgoing and team player at all times
Ensuring HHC and Marriott Policies and Procedures are followed at all times
Must be available for 40 hours a week
Participate in the Manager On Duty rotation
Must be currently living in the Halifax region to apply. Must have a valid work Visa. Cannot be relying on AIP program. Previous Food and beverage / restaurant experience is a must.
