The opportunity:



UM Bison Sports is looking for an energetic and strategic Community Relations Manager. This exciting new role will focus on strengthening community partnerships, elevating game-day promotions, and enhancing the fan experience, as well as providing leadership to the departments digital media and sports information.

The qualifications and experience we're looking for:



Undergraduate degree in Sport Management, Marketing, Business or related discipline is required. Minimum of 4 years' experience in community relations, event promotions, or related roles with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity and experience in recruiting, training, and managing staff of volunteers is required. Experience in developing and executing marketing, sponsorship, or ticketing strategies is required. Proven ability to plan and manage events in a high-energy, customer-facing environment required. Experience working in a sports, recreation, or entertainment setting is considered an asset. Experience in broadcasting and digital media is considered an asset. Experience with ticketing software is an asset. An acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to communicate effectively with diverse audiences including fans, sponsors, athletes, and media is required. Proficiency with advertising platforms, content scheduling tools and analytics required. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, social media platforms, and email marketing software is required. Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines required. Excellent interpersonal skills is required. Exhibit cultural awareness and sensitivity when creating designs for diverse audiences, ensuring visual communication is respectful, inclusive, and effective across different cultural contexts is required. Strong time management skills; able to prioritize and manage multiple projects is required. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and under tight deadlines. Must be able to appropriately handle sensitive and confidential information and situations. Passion for sports and a commitment to enhancing the fan experience is preferred. Satisfactory work record, including satisfactory attendance and punctuality, is required. Familiarity with U SPORTS or other interuniversity athletics structures. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends during the Bison Sports competitive season. Experience in working with diverse communities and applying inclusive practices in programming and communications.

Pay: $64,265.09-$89,971.13 per year
